Design and Technology Project - Up-cycling Plastics!

This project I have run with iPad and without iPad involvement, requiring very little subject specific equipment. The project is perfect for Primary School pupils or pupils in Year 7-9 studying Design and Technology and for departments that are tight on budgets.

The project can run through a wide range of theory points behind plastics, materials and recycling concepts before allowing students to get creative in design work and manufacturing work. I currently teach this project with a group of pupils from a deaf school and they love it, so thought I would share a quick blog/how to guide.

We are 1:1 iPad and so use the iPad (Keynote/Freefrom/Tayasui SketchesSchool/Clips) to complete all design work and keep portfolios of learning, key terms, ideas and processes.

Check out the how to guide/blog PDF if you are interested.

Enjoy and let me know if you try this project with your pupils!
