This past August 2024 marked my one-year anniversary working at the Education Support Center Region 13 in Austin, Texas, where I serve as a program manager for the Launchpad Austin program. Through this program, I have the opportunity to coach and teach creativity and coding lessons at elementary campuses, either in the library or STEM classroom.
One of the best parts of my job is modeling lessons and teaching K-5 students. This aspect allows me to put my research into practice and demonstrate to teachers how effective good iPad integration can be, especially when it encourages students to explore their creativity without limitations. This approach builds confidence in our activities, and I absolutely love watching the teachers I work with see this transformation.
Our program was featured in Apple Community Education Initiatives' annual report (Page 10) I was very proud to have our program spotlighted and truly appreciate what the Apple CEI team does to support us.
2025 promises to be another successful year as we expand our reach beyond the Austin, Texas area to include Houston.
